В апреле 2021 года Агентство по страхованию вкладов (АСВ) подало банкротный иск к ЗАО «Радиокомпания «Культура», которому принадлежит радио «Эрмитаж». Сумма долга — 15,3 млн рублей, из которых основной долг 13,3 млн рублей и 2 млн рублей процентов. В июне 2021 года радио объявило сбор пожертвований для собственного спасения. Нашелся даже предприниматель Антон Ромашов, который вызвался перевести нужную сумму и даже подал соответствующее заявление в суд. Однако впоследствии, как рассказывал бизнесмен изданию «Фонтанка.ру», собственник радио попросил отказаться от участия в погашении долга, заявив, что вопрос будет решен без него, и это действительно произошло. 19 октября с разрешения Арбитражного суда Петербурга и Ленинградской области в дело вступили городские власти в лице АО «Городское агентство по телевидению и радиовещанию» (ГАТР). До середины ноября ГАТР, закончившее, по данным СПАРК, прошлый год с чистым убытком в 145 млн рублей, деньгами налогоплательщиков может погасить долги ЗАО «Радиокомпания «Культура».
